Reading is a great activity when you want some peace and quiet. Remember, it’s important to use the continuous tense CONTINUOUSLY. Ex: ‘watching TV, or play board games’. In this case, since you’re watching TV you would also be play(ing) board games. Additionally, you would be read(ing) a book in your bedroom, not ‘read’. Don’t forget your punctuation either, like adding a full stop after bedroom, and next time try to write more. This is pretty short.

In my free time I like reading books about chemistry and the periodic table of the elements. During Christmas time my auntie Azu,who lives in Madrid and is a chemist, bought these kind of books for me. It was awesome to receive this unexpected gift although I was looking forward to it into my head!! I also like playing with my sister Laura, she has the imagination I sometimes lack to imagine or discover an unreal world so I love to find out this fictional plays with her.

Chemistry can be a very difficult subject, so it’s awesome that you show an interest in it. This is a great job, so I only have a few suggestions. “she has the imagination I sometimes lack to imagine”. In this sentence, using imagination and imagine together is repetitive. It might be better to say ‘she has the imagination that I sometimes lack to create unreal worlds’. Also, in signing off, you would say that’s all ‘for’ the moment, not ‘by’ the moment. Great work!

When I am with my family I fancy playing table games because it is one of the things that we like the whole family however, my brother doesn’t but I always tell him that if I were him, I would try it.I like spending my free time reading books. I have been reading Geronimo Stilton’s books since I was 5 years old. Next week I will receive a new book and I am so excited. I think everyone has to try one of those books!

You’ve done some good work here, but I see a few things we need to talk about. Outdoor is an adjective here, and it doesn’t need an ‘s’ at the end of it when placed in front of activities. ‘Goto’ is two words, not one. “However I like to do an activity alone.” You should use ‘some activities’ instead of ‘an activity’ in this instance. Saturday doesn’t need an ‘s’ on the end of it with ‘every’. If you said ‘on’, then it would be Saturday(s). Lastly, don’t forget to capitalize ‘I’, every time.

In general, this is a well written post however I think that you can add a bit more information in a way that is not like a list. Try using some connectors to help you give more information (Also, In addition, At the same time) for example. Also we only want to use the ellipses (the 3 points (…)) when we have given a lot of information before. For now, you should not use these and instead work on giving more information 🙂

I like spending time with my family when we go to places I haven’t visited yet. However, I also like spending time on my own because I can relax and practice my favorite hobbies which are drawing, playing videogames and rock climbing. In fact, when I really enjoy my free time is when I can do my hobbies, stay with my family and visit new places. For example, last summer I went to Tenerife with my family. When we arrived there I had taken my drawing set, so I could draw many interesting things. It was my best summer ever!

Great job, and your sentences are fairly well-constructed, but let’s talk about where to place your commas and good stopping points. Commas separate dependent clauses or indicate a brief pause. “When I am with my family (,) I like to go camping because we like to sleep in the forest,(.) This is a good place for a full stop and to start a new sentence. “I like to play basketball with my cousin,(.) he was a basketball player.” In that sentence, you have two independent clauses. Each one is a complete sentence and they don’t need to be connected with a comma. Another example, “When I am alone(,) I usually play video games(.) Practice placing commas and full stops. It’s hard to get it right all of the time, so just keep working at it.

Japanese pancakes sound interesting! You’ve done a great job here, but you should review the use of commas and full stops. Your first sentence is a VERY long run-on sentence, and it should be broken up. “When I am with my family (,) I like cooking with my mom and dad,(.) When you use the verb “to learn”, you need to follow it with another verb OR ‘about’. For example. “I would like to learn to cook more types of food.” OR “I would like to learn about more types of food.”
If you are using “doesn’t”, the next verb needs to be the base form. For example: “Nowadays there is a virus that doesn’t allow me to go to school”

I like your use of a negative sentence but when you need to put two words together ( would + not) you need to put an apostrophe (‘) for the missing letter= (would + not = wouldn’t).
When you write ‘spending time with’, it should be followed by a person. For example: “I like spending time with my friends.”
If you are talking about an object or a thing, you can say “I like to spend my time playing with the Playstation.”
Next time, try to include a future or a past tense. “Last week, I played a game of Monopoly and won!”
You could even try a 2nd conditional “If I were at the amusement park, i would…”

Hi NSD, I really enjoyed reading about your different activities. I loved that you used the conditional to tell the reader what you would like to do in the future! You could follow this sentence with the 2nd conditional: “If I were a DJ, I would…”
“Do” and “Make” are complicated verbs. In this case, you can either ‘do’ some cooking OR you can ‘make’ a specific recipe. You can make a cake, for example.

When I am with muy family I like cooking, dancing, watching movies… Next weekend I will wacth a new movie with my sister. When I am on my own I like listening to music, drawing and relax. Yesterday I was alone, in my room thinking in my things and relaxing.

Grammar mistakes: relax/relaxing (…drawing and relaxING); thinking in my things and relaxing– you could say, “yesterday I was alone, relaxing in my room with only my thoughts” or “… in my room thinking and relaxing”
Love: I liked that you made it personal and talked about what you would do in the future with a person of your family. Try not to only list thins (for example walking, playing, talking…) try to elaborate a bit more!!
