  1. I think we can kape safe online if we don’t trust people that we don’t know in person, having friends in our real life and not in the online apps.Also we can cover the computer camera with a clothes clip or a piece of paper so as not to be spied on.

    We can be safe online doing, for example, loging out or changing the password. Or you can have an antimalwere in the PC, windows 10 for example is very safe and you can use its firewall. If it is not safe online do not enter.
    So we have tobe very careful with internet.

    1. Hi Bianca!

      This is great advice! Don’t forget the difference between ‘save’ and ‘safe’.

      save = verb. I want to save my information from hackers.
      safe = adjective. My information is safe.

      Dispositive is a word in English but it’s not the right word to use here. You can just say ‘device’ as more people will understand what that means!

      Apart from that, there are no spelling mistakes and it is well structured! Well done! 😀

    1. Hi PRS,

      I can’t see the first part of your work, could you add it as a reply to this and I will correct it too 🙂
      This advice is very important, well done!

      Don’t forget in English we say ‘On the internet’.
      ‘Pretend’ and ‘lie’ are very similar verbs so they sound strange together. You could say:

      “On the internet, many adults pretend to be kids and lie to you.”

      Again with the next sentence, you can’t have ‘are’ and ‘have’ together. You have to choose:

      “If you are *having* any *problems*, you can call the police, of course you have to say it to your parents.”

      OR

      “If you have any problems, you can call the police, of course you have to tell your parents.”

      Spelling:

      saing = saying

      Very good effort! 🙂

    1. Hi Inés,

      There are some good ideas here. There’s a sentence that looks unfinished: “…putting password in our…”? Can you think of how to complete it?

      Don’t forget that we can’t start a sentence with ‘and’! The phrase you used in the last sentence is almost correct:

      “Last but not least…”

      Finally, spelling:

      perosonal = personal

  9. From my point of view, we can stay safe online if we don’t write personal data online through WebPages. That can‘t be safe; as well as if a webpage ask you to write your credit card number for something, but it doesn’t say the reason why you have to put it.
    In regards to the passwords, if you want to be safe you should have a difficult password or a long one. You shouldn’t use simple passwords, as your birthday. In this way, it should be something that the people do not think it’s going to be that.

  11. We have several tips in order to do so. We should be careful who we meet online. It’s very dangerous to chat with people we don’t know. Another thing we can do is to choose a unique and complex password or change it very often to make harder for the hackers to identify it. You must be aware of watching out what you post, many pictures or comments will be online forever even though you think you have deleted them. You have to take care of what you download, don’t use websites that look dangerous or you don’t trust, ask an adult first or someone that knows about it. An important matter is not to give personal details such as names, telephone numbers, bank accounts, addresses,etc. Finally it could be a good idea to use an antivirus to block or identity any cyber attack.

      Wow! This is fantastic! You explained what the dangers are and what we can do to prevent them. Good job!
      The only thing I would change is this sentence:

      You can just shorten this to “You must be aware of what you post”

      Apart from that, absolutely brilliant! Very well done 😀

      For the last piece of advice, if you use ‘haven’t’, I think you’re talking about the past. As you are talking about something that people should never do, I would write “…we *mustn’t* share any images with strangers.”

    1. Hi NH!

      This is very good advice. Try to include more connectors and think about how to structure your writing so that it is easier to read. For example in the first sentence, you need to split it into two shorter sentences:

      “I think we can keep safe online. *The most important thing is only be friends of our real friends, *and* never send my pictures even if they are my friends.”

      Spelling:

      one’s = once (choose a period of time, otherwise it’s too vague: once a week, once a month, or once a year)
      pasword = password
      belive = believe

      Remember if you are talking about a plural (things) then you have to use ‘these’ instead of ‘this’

      “I believe that *these* type of things can help us to stay safe in the internet.”

      Finally, instead of ‘put off’, we say ‘turn off’.

  16. JDH-6ºA: JDH-6ºA: In my opinion, the most important thing is not to reveal any personal information about you or about where you live. It is also very important to be careful with the photos and to secure your computer, as well as, entering safe websites, having a good virus protector and not to enter attractive but unreal advertisement. Normally when you’re younger all these security measures are done by your parents but it’s good to now how can you keep yourself safe when navigating inside internet for you to do so when your parents can’t or just to prevent unsafe situations playing videogames or watching social media. Talking about advertisements, you might have heard about cookies, which are programs to take account of which sites you have visited or what you have done while on the computer. After reading this, you may think to disable them in order to be safer and to block any person who would want to reach that data. Well, you can try, but you’ll end up not able to enter any website. This is so because cookies aren’t only to show you advertishments or sell data of the websites you most visit, they also record that you have entered that website and the program which controls the website allows you to enter. To sum up, there are two types of cookies: the one that allows you to enter the website and the other one that picks up data. You can know which one a website is using in the long text that many people skip because it’s incredibly long, but it is an important part in your security.

    1. Hi JDH,

      Wow! This is very detailed! I would actually suggest that you make this simpler by separating the different topics into mini paragraphs or by splitting up your long sentences into shorter ones!

      Spelling:

      now = know (don’t forget that silent k!)
      advertishments (remember to proofread!)

      With this sentence: “…it’s good to know how can you keep yourself safe… ” it sounds like you are asking a question with ‘how can you’ so I would just replace the ‘can you’ with ‘to’.

      “…it’s good to now how *to* keep yourself safe… ”

      In general, you just need to improve your structure. Apart from that, good job! 😀

    For keeping safe online, it´s important to keep your privacy settings on, and choose strong passwords.
    But all of these is useless if you are not careful what you download and post. It is important to keep personal information limited.
    In other hand, you have to be very careful who you meet online as people are not always who they claim to be, and fake social media profiles are a popular way to cheat users.

    1. Hi Emily!

      This is great advice! Be careful with the difference between ‘safe’ and ‘save’. ‘Safe’ means that something is away from danger, for example ‘staying safe on the internet’. ‘Save’ in this case means to keep something stored, for example “…it is advisable to not save your password…”.

      Remember, for this sentence “I think we can stay safe introducing complicating passwords…” you are describing the passwords, so instead of ‘complicating’, we say ‘complicated’. Lots of adjectives end in -ed 🙂

      In the same sentence, you should make sure that your verbs follow the same pattern:

      “I think we can stay safe introducing complicated passwords or for example *changing* *them* every year.”

      Finally, I think in English we would say a ‘forum’ page instead of a ‘commun’ page? It’s a page where people discuss their opinions. Remember to double check the meaning if you are not sure.

NSD 6ºB I think we can keep safe online not giving our passwords, email or number to someone that we don’t see or don’t know because probably it could be someone that wants to steal you or wants to stal information to go into your account and get some money without working. This has never happened to me. However, I have a friend that met someone that she didn’t know and it was an old man, now she is scared of playing online games. The computer, when you go into any web page and you have to register, it usually asks you if you want to safe your password. I always press the button “NEVER” because anybody could steal it. We should also be careful with the things that we post in Facebook, Instagram or that apps that everybody use because if you post someting personal, the hole world will see it.

    Like

    1. Hi NSD!

      This is all excellent advice! I’m sorry to hear about your friend, but I’m pleased she’s ok!

      Try to break up your writing into mini paragraphs when you start a new topic and revise some of your structures as they seem a little Spanish. For example:

      “The computer, when you go into any web page and you have to register, it usually asks you if you want to save your password.”

      =

      “When you go into any web page and you have to register, the computer usually asks you if you want to save your password.”

      There are a couple of spelling mistakes, so don’t forget to always check by using a dictionary:

      hole = whole
      safe = save
      someting = something

      Apart from that, very good job! Well done! 😀

    Like

    1. Hi Alicia!

      This is very important advice and I can tell that you really paid attention to the expert 🙂

      I would only make a few changes. For example, you only mention one way to keep safe, so I could change the first sentence to:

      “One way to keep safe online is…”

      Then, instead of a comma (,) I would stop the sentence to break it up and make it easier to read. Your vocabulary is really good here, but if you want to sound more natural:

      navigator = browser
      A ‘suspect’ is a noun, ‘suspicious’ is the adjective 🙂

      Don’t forget that we don’t use the three dots (…) in a text like this.

      Finally, with gerunds (-ing words) when you want them to be negative, you just need to add ‘not’:

      “…the Internet navigator tells us if the website is safe, creating strong passwords and not revealing them…”

      In general, very good work! Well done! 😀

      This is very good advice and very detailed!

      First thing, where are the capital letters??? I noticed a couple of examples where you did use them, but you need to use them all the time!!

      Check your spelling:

      sing = sign
      carful = careful (you spelt it right at the end so I know you know how to do it! 🙂 )
      historial = history
      onece = once
      acount = account
      thinks = things (thinks = verb, things = nouns)

      Think about when you can use a stop (.) and a comma (,)
      You can also include more connectors to make your sentences easier to read 🙂

      “I think we can keep safe online *by* changing the password, *signing* out of all the pages, and never *saving* the password *on* your computer. ”

      When you have a list like this ^ you should also make sure that all the verbs (change, sign, save) follow the same pattern (changing, signing, saving).
